Moving People Media is 501c3 purpose-driven non-profit media community committed to the creation of a more just society through education and impactful storytelling that galvanizes audiences into concrete action. We support the creation of media by underrepresented filmmakers to tell powerful visual stories that lay the groundwork for lasting social change through mentorship, education, project sponsorship, co-production, and distribution. MPM is committed to fostering connections across social and cultural divides by inspiring people to see the humanity in one another through bold, beautiful storytelling, and then act that way.

With a combined 50 years of experience in all sides of media production, including arts administration, the founders of Moving People Media have worked with many of the major Bay Area Film Arts organizations including ITVS, Independent Lens, BAVC Media, SFFILM, the Jewish Film Institute, and others. 

Our Core Programs include mentorship, educational retreats and programming, and production support for artists to shepherd story ideas into completed films.
